There are borders, fragile, intangible, invisible, unthinkable borders. Photography has allowed us to remember time captured in an image, a representation of reality as it is, or at least as we think it is. Truthfully, each individual has their own particular reality, and sometimes that reality is so diffuse, chaotic, and turbulent that the only alternative is to surrender to imagination and visualize not with the eyes, but with the mind and heart.
